Current weather

The air temperature is measured at a height of 2 metres, as per the international standard. The measured values shown are only partly checked and may include gaps.

* These boundary layer stations are situated on transmission towers (Bantiger 155 m, St. Chrischona 232 m, Uetliberg 162 m above ground).

The general map shows a reference measured value for each region. The displayed values represent the current air temperature. Current values are updated every 10 minutes. If you click on a region you will see an enlarged image with further measuring stations.

Diagrams
The diagram is updated once every hour and shows the values for the previous days and today. The top diagram shows the hourly average temperatures, the bottom one shows the hourly minima and maxima. If you click on the "All Switzerland" link you go back to the general map and if you click on "Region" you go back to the region you were looking at.

If you are interested in further parameters, you can click on the relevant flag in the top toolbar. You will then go straight to the view mode you have selected at that time.

Yearly diagram

The blue line shows the daily mean 2m above ground and the red line shows the daily normals of the period 1961-1990.
